It was a glorious day! I’m so proud of our First Family. Clearly, the POTUS and FLOTUS are teaching the First Daughters—as they were taught—to believe in yourself; be black and proud; black and beautiful. And yes, sadly—this is still required curriculum for American Democracy 101.
Martin put it well:

For me, the very fact the inauguration fell on Martin Luther King Day said this is what we were fighting for. It echoed this is the dream. I think the first time there were those who voted for him out of fear because our country had been left in such a financial and moral mess . . . but this time it was because he spoke of including everybody, that we were all important no matter our race, our religion, our economic standing or our sexual orientation. We all matter. We are all somebody. I have on my desktop a photograph of Obama sitting in Rosa Parks seat on the bus and I wonder does he feel the weight of a people on his shoulders, does he feel her tired feet or does he feel the realization of a dream realized and not deferred. Does he feel the wonder of awakening the dream in so many or does he feel the weight of such a responsibility.
What a speaker. Chills!
The Rev. says it best!
Amen to that!
