Sure, it’s a little lopsided—as hearts go—but those imperfections are endearing. Faithful blog follower, Tura, was sitting across the table from me at Toast in Novato (for another one of our pancake parties) when I spotted this sweet little heart in the middle of my pancake. Unfortunately, Toast flunked the pancake test—the usual rubbery texture—and the parties are off limits for me until I finish revising the novel.
