The lessons of the 60s American Civil Rights Movement are more relevant than ever.
On January 14, 2014 high school students from across the country participated in a workshop to learn about how music influenced the Civil Rights Movement. A number of entertainers participated, including Smokey Robinson, Rutha Harris, Dr. Bernice Johnson Reagon and Toshi Reagon and the Five Blind Boys of Alabama. Excellent. This should be mandatory viewing for school children, High School and College. I loved what Smokey R. said about flowers coming in all different colors but they all grow together in harmony. And, yes, I missed the last half of the football game to watch this.
