My sister, Dr. Betty Jean Jones:
December 11, 1949 ~ January 9, 1997
When I think of Betty, I see her leading; at home, school, in the community or church, she was out front, leading. She was full of ideas and put them to good in the classroom, the theater and life~also her classroom. She was only 47 when she died in a plane crash. At that time she was working as a professor of American Theatre and Associate Dean of Rackham Graduate school at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. Dear Anita,
It is clear that you and Betty share in the Dramatics. As a story teller you, like Betty love to tell the truth through your deep well of knowledge. It’s your true nature.
You are so right about that, Marlene! One of the many things I share with Betty. Thanks for stopping by!
Hi Anita,
That is a beautiful tribute to your sister. It makes me want to write a tribute to my sister Yolanda, who passed away suddenly Jan.20,2010. I know what it is like to miss your best friend, your sister. Be blessed. Hope to see you soon. Never let her leave your hear. Peace!!! Dr. Ruby Jones Tatum Wallace
Thank you, Ruby. It means so much to hear from family, like you, who also knew Beej. (Ruby and I are cousins!)I look forward to your tribute to Yolanda. Hard to believe it’s been almost a year since she passed. We are all blessed with memories.
Hi Anita, I wish I’d known her. She was a pistol, I’m sure. Love, Pam
