My girl turned 18 last month. Yes, I am in shock, (and VERY excited that she’ll vote for the first time in November!) I look at how vibrant she is and count my blessings. Then I count them again because there’s something called The Girl Effect

Three Strikes of Horror
This ties in with my recent post: The New Jim Crow. California is one 24 states that have a “Three-Strikes” type law, passed 18 years ago. Now we look back with regret at many lives ruined by the law’s “good intentions”.
